Note: we’ve teamed up with the gang at National Unplugging Day UK for the 28th of June and next 2 weeks! Just long-press on our dial to write your "Im unplugging for the 28th of June" message, choose 1 day as the length of time and hit the Big Red button to enjoy 1 wonderful day of notification-less, tech-free bliss.

Also: note that Facebook login works but messaging does not due to an API change at Facebook. Were working on a fix though and will upload when complete.

Taking a digital detox or a short smartphone break is pretty simple with the Big Red Stop. Just hit the big red button and anyone who messages you via Twitter receives a tweet letting them know you are taking a #bigredstop and when you will be back. Plus, your phone is quiet as a mouse until the time expires. Pretty neat, eh?
Our goal is to help people balance their presence online, offline, at work and having fun so they can enjoy life more and be in the moment. Regardless of whether theyre playing games online, enjoying a sunset, at a music gig or just about to hit a business meeting.
So if you feel like going off-grid for an hour, a digital detox for a weekend, take in a gorgeous sunset or want to concentrate on that latest level of Angry Birds, why not try the Big Red Stop.
This is our first release for iPhone, we have Facebook messaging in the works, and of course we welcome all forms of feedback. So feel free to ping us on Twitter, Facebook or here to chat about any ideas or feedback you have.

Thanks! Stephen & Chris
MORE ABOUT UNPLUGGING AND TAKING A DIGITAL DETOX WITH US
We believe in meetings between people. In being present in the moment. And in quality of life. Part of that quality of life comes from the wonderful technology around us and in our hands and in how that helps us connect with people and information everywhere. Part of it comes from being able to fully appreciate a moment. And this is where we come in - an unplugging app which allows people to take a digital break, detox from technology and fully enjoy wherever they are.
